The Company

This role is working for an exciting FinTech start-up that is looking to expand its IT headcount. They have offices in London, Cambridge and Sheffield which you will be required to go into one day per week. They have excellent benefits for their employees which include; equity opportunities for all staff and a good bonus scheme. 

The Role

They're looking to hire an Application Developer from a Financial Services background with strong SQL skills, to support the servicing platform for Mortgages, Finance and Credit management.

• You will design and implement system changes
• Investigate support requests, analyse and debug issues, providing resolutions 
• Write code that is reliable, maintainable, testable and performs well. 
• Write documentation for the business and IT Support 
• Carry out unit testing to identify opportunities for automation

Essential Skills

• 4+ years experience in a development or support environment 
• Experience in Financial Services
• Strong SQL skills, including queries, stored procedures, functions and indexing
• Strong knowledge of relational database design 
• Experience writing technical documentation
• Experience using control and version control tools, e.g GIT
• Experience working with data, e.g XML and JSON
