Company:

Our client, a well-known and established research institution is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join them on a 18-month fixed-term contract with possible extensions/view to turning permanent. The role will be based at their office in Chelsea and will be remote work to begin with due to Covid-19. 

Role:

You will provide first and second line desktop and application support to the members of staff within SLA deadlines. Duties include assisting in the continual improvement of the quality of service provided, evaluating new and emerging technologies, creating and maintaining appropriate documentation for distribution to other teams, and participating in multi-team project and development work as required.

The following are essential:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in 2nd Line Desktop Support
  • Experience working within a corporate environment supporting 1,000+ users in a corporate environment
  • Proficient in supporting Windows OS and Mac OSX
  • Experience of Mac and Windows Management tools e.g. Intune, Casper, Jamf
  • Experience in Software and OS Deployment tools e.g. SCCM / LANDesk / similar
  • Active Directory: GPO, troubleshooting etc.
  • Experience working in an ITIL environment and adhering to SLAs and KPIs
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills 

Salary: Up to £30,000 + Benefits
