My client, a well-known Trading organisation, is seeking an EUC Technical Team Manager, either coming from an architectural / engineering background, to join them in the City of London on a permanent basis. This role will ideally suit one who is looking to build upon their current experience, remaining technically hands-on and managing the team to drive and deliver project work, with a well-known and reputable financial services company.

 

Role:

The End User Computing (EUC) team is responsible for providing an engaging and effective digital work environment across my client’s estate. Seeing as the team is new, your initial focus will be to setup and establish the function for a stable, secure and seamless digital experience for the users. This will involve acting as both the Technical Team Manager for 5 Engineers on a number of projects, managing and driving the team to ensure project completion, regardless of whatever issues arise.

 

The following are essential:

  • Recent team management experience, preferably for 4+ Engineers
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as an Engineer/Architect (preferably within the Finance sector or similar environment), focused on EUC/Desktop Virtualisation
  • Knowledgeable in Identity Access Management
  • Experience in change controls and technical governance
  • Knowledge of mobility solutions to provide a seamless user experience across the desktop, laptop, tablets to smartphones
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in the following:
    • Office 365
    • Exchange Online
    • Microsoft Desktop OS 7 and 10
    • Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop
    • SCCM
    • Active Directory: DNS / LDAP alternative
  • Experience in low level designs (LLD) / high level designs (HLD)
  • Passionate about everything automation with strong PowerShell capabilities  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and cope under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams

 

Working Hours:

The standard working hours are 9am – 6pm

 

Salary: £70,000 – £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
