Helpdesk Analyst – Surrey - £27k (Windows, Active Directory, MAC)

My client is looking for a Helpdesk Analyst to work within a well-known public sector research institution, on a fixed-term contract of 18 months with possibility of going perm. This role is working from home but based in my clients office in Surrey long term.

The successful candidate will be highly experienced in Windows, Apple MAC, Skype for Business and LAN's. This is a 1st line support role using remote software to manage the SLA response time through incident tracking whilst applying excellent customer focused skills, for all IT related issues and requests.

Examples of work will include, but not be restricted to:

    • Providing Helpdesk support to Institute staff.
    • Managing user accounts.
    • Assisting with preparation of reports and documentation.
    • Updating IT intranet web pages.

Essential skills and experience:

    • Minimum two years’ experience in administering user accounts within Active Directory.
    • Experience in administering Exchange Distribution lists.
    • At least 1 year experience of providing 1st line support in an IT environment.
    • Experience of Windows 2000 Pro, Windows XP Pro and Mac OS X.
    • Effective Communication Skills, both written & verbal.
    • An analytical and proactive approach to problem solving and development issues.
