A leading financial company driven by a business change in the clearing/ post-trade world are seeking an ITSM Service Manager to take end to end ownership of services within the organisation.

Using your ideas and expertise, you will have the opportunity to join the IT department and put your own stamp in this role.   

You must be able to commit to acting as the point of escalation inside and outside of business hours, ensuring that the IT side of the business is constantly performing, you will need to really understand what the business does.

In order to succeed in this role; you will need to be able to understand how technical systems work together and have the ability to understand and convey complex technical issues to a technical and non-technical audience.

Financial experience is required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to communicate complex and technical problems to senior members of the business
  • Making key decisions on incidents
  • Point of escalation when things are not going right
  • Trend Analysis
  • Oversee the problem management process.
  • Define and maintain SLA’s
  • Engage in release management
  • Work with service providers to implement and maintain application monitoring and alerting
  • Participate in UAT

Skills/Experience

  • ITIL Qualified / demonstratable experience of managing within an ITIL environment
  • Proven experience of Incident Management and Problem Management  
  • IT Service Management and IT Operating framework qualification (COBit, IT4IT)
  • Excellent knowledge of ITSM methodology
  • Service Management and IT operating framework qualification
  • Experience within the Financial Services is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
