A world-leading commodities exchange are looking for a Network Engineer to join their Architecture and Engineering team. The Network Engineer will develop, manage and maintain the entire network infrastructure including services such as LAN, WAN, routers, switches and firewalls.

It is essential that the Network Engineer has worked in banking or financial services for at least 3 years.

Key skills required for the role are as follows:

  • Cisco certified to CCNP level with suitable employment experience.
  • Expert Cisco networking experience specifically with Cisco Routers, Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches and a solid understanding of WAN Protocols
  • Network Security with VPNs, Firewalls, and ACLs.
  • Knowledge of load balancer technology, ideally A10’s and F5 Big IP
  • Strong understanding of Load Balancing and Multi-casting
  • Knowledge of Arista CloudVision
  • Strong understanding of integrating network devices with Security Incident and Event Management tools, preferably HP ArcSight
  • Significant exposure of working within an ITIL governed environment.
  • Proven track record of working within architecture and/or engineering service frameworks
