A leading transport company is looking for a Service Delivery Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The client is looking for a proactive, technically minded individual with experience designing and setting up a complex service desk from scratch. The successful role holder will be responsible for mobilisation of the BAU Business Systems Support Model, as well as responsible for the ongoing management of Operational Support to End Users for the Business Systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the large scale helpdesk, taking full ownership of the support contracts and deliverables.
  • Implement full ITIL Change Management processes across the estate.
  • Manage the transition of ITIL Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management structure around the ServiceNow Cloud-based toolset, using an Agile approach.
  • Mobilising the Business Systems Support Model.
  • Manage the BAU Business Systems Support Desk Team.
  • Train and develop technical and service desk teams.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to define Service Requirements and gain buy-in.
  • Act as a Major Incident Manager for business implicating incidents.
  • Utilise best practice ITIL methodologies, techniques, processes and tools and root cause analysis to reduce potential problems.
  • Investigate ways to improve Customer/ Supplier engagement.

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience working at senior project management and service support level delivering large multi-site contracts and leading teams in fast mobbing, customer-facing organisations.
  • Experience designing and setting up a complex service desk from scratch independently is necessary.
  • Excellent service delivery execution in a complex and high-change environment.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills to drive Business Improvement initiatives.
  • Proven internal and external relationship management experience, working with multiple vendors at once.
  • ITIL based operations methodology definition and adoption. You must be qualified in ITIL Foundation 3 or 4, and ITIL Change Management.
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO 5500.
  • Experience working in the transport or vehicle industries.
  • Lean/ Six Sigma/ Business Process Management certification.
