An exciting opportunity has come up for a Service Desk Manager to join an IT services company based in Portsmouth. This is a new position that would suit an ambitious and driven individual who will hit the ground running and make a positive impact to the company’s current success.

Your main responsibility will be to manage the First Line Support team and ensure the smooth running of the service desk 24/7. Such duties include defining the strategy and leading the development of the Service Desk Engineers, ensuring incidents are managed and in line with SLAs and KPIs, acting as a point of escalation and growing the current team of 10 in 2019.

The following are essential:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing 1st Line Support / Service Desk Engineers
  • Experience in training/mentorship, 1:1s, performance reviews etc.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a management position at a Managed Service Provider.
  • Excellent stakeholder management / networking skills
  • ITIL Foundation / experience working in an ITIL environment
  • IT Service management software: ServiceNow, Remedy etc.

The following are desirable:

  • Experience of managing an off-shore delivery team

 

Rate: Circa £50,000 + Benefits
