Due to continuous growth, my client, a well-known global law firm in the City of London, has an exciting opportunity for a 2nd Line Technical Support Specialist to join them on a permanent basis. If you are looking to gain experience in the Legal sector or looking to build upon your Legal experience with a leading law firm, then this role is for you!


You will play a pivotal role within a dynamic support team, being someone the junior members of the team look up to and see as having a greater technical knowledge. You will be providing both hardware and software support for the local office (1000 users) and will be responsible for making proactive contributions to on-going improvements of the Support function.

Duties include managing issues escalated from the Service Desk; dealing with enquiries via telephone, email and desk-side; logging and tracking all work via a ticketing system; ensuring all requests are responded to and resolved in a timely manner; and assisting the Audio-Visual team with the setup and support of conference rooms. 


The following are essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in 2nd line support, gained in a corporate environment 
  • Experience of providing support to large user bases (1000+ users) 
  • Active Directory: GPO, troubleshooting etc.
  • Networking: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
  • Supporting Microsoft Windows 10, Office 2016
  • Experience in supporting and setting up meeting rooms e.g. WebEx, Cisco etc.
  • ITIL V4 Foundation certified and/or experience working in an ITIL environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and cope under pressure
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Ambitious problem solver and a 'can do’ attitude

Shift Pattern:

Must be flexible with the shift pattern that rotates on a weekly basis, including an 8:30am start (earliest) and an 8pm finish (latest). This role is based onsite at the client's City-based offices, currently 2-3 days per week with a view to returning to the office full time when normal working resumes. 


Salary: Up to £38,000 (depending on experience) + Excellent Benefits (including 25 days’ leave every year with an option to buy extra, childcare vouchers etc.)
