Transition Manager - 62,000 + 16% Pension + Flexible Remote Working

The Role: A leading transport company is looking for a Transition Manager to join the Service Delivery team. As a Transition Manager, you will be responsible for leading the transition approach and support in the delivery of a large-scale migration programme. You will work with the Service Delivery Lead to implement the programme transition plan to onboard new suppliers and transition this into a live service. The role will be critical to ensuring the successful implementation and transition of services and ensuring that services are ready to go live! 

Required Experience:

  • ITIL V3 Certified and be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Transition Management processes and procedures. 
  • Very strong stakeholder management experience and be comfortable in dealing with challenging situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience of managing Transition within a complex environment
  • Proven experience in managing multiple level stakeholders and participants
  • Proven experience in managing services within a multi-vendor ecosystem
  • Analytical with the ability to resolves complex problems
  • Ability to provide highly credible team leadership
  • Proven experience in the delivery of Service improvement and transformation
  • In depth understanding of ITSM

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for developing a high-level Transition approach for the onboarding of the new service providers for the replacement service and the exiting service provider.
  • Responsible for developing the detailed Transition and Exit plan incorporating the new supplier’s Transition plan and the existing suppliers exit plan, working collaboratively and agreeing on it with all responsible stakeholders.
  • Responsible for developing specific acceptance criteria between the existing supplier, and the new service supplier to define when a service is officially handed over from the existing incumbent and responsibility for support is passed to the new supplier.
  • Responsible for agreeing an interim and final Service Management Service/Support Model to ensure the continued delivery of the incumbent’s service until the transition is finalised into the replacement.
  • Responsible for onboarding the new supplier, making recommendations for service go no-go decisions
